«Oὐχ ὡς ἄνθρωπος ὁ θεός» Il divario tra uomo e Dio nell’eclettismo ermeneutico di Filone di Alessandria

Abstract

The aim of this contribution is first of all to frame the philosophical practice of Philo of Alexandria in terms of a hermeneutical eclecticism, underlining the elements of commonality and originality within the panorama of the imperial age. Philo is an author who comments on the Septuagint by a middle-platonic theoretical framework: Philonian eclecticism will therefore be explored, by examining the relationship between man and God in his writings. Divine transcendence and human corporeality will be dealt with as paradigmatic for the problematic boundary between biblical text and philosophical hermeneutics.
